Associated Third Party Administrators (ATPA) was formed on January 1, 1994, with the consolidation of C.W.
Sweeney & Company and Glen Slaughter & Associates. Both companies were founded in the mid-1950's accumulating
over fifty years of experience and expertise in employee benefits administration. Both organizations were pioneers
in the use of computer application technology for the administration of Taft-Hartley Multi-employer Trust Funds and
both specialized in collective bargaining agreement administration. These similarities of style and purpose were
the impetuses and are the foundations of ATPA as it exists today as one of the largest
independent third party administrators in America, with over 50 years
of experience in our chosen field. ATPA was purchased by United Benefits and Pension Services, Inc. in December of 2007.
Our staff of over five hundred employees is carefully trained and highly
motivated, operating from various locations throughout the United States. We service a large number of Labor/Management
Trust Funds and Public Employee/Employer Benefit Plans providing a wide array of administrative services. Our data
processing and record-keeping systems exceed industry standards and are customized to meet each client's specific
needs. We conduct our clients' business with hundreds of national and local Attorneys, Consultants, CPA's, Actuaries,
managed care specialists and other specialized employee benefit providers. Our Administrators have extensive experience
working with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators
as directors, committee members, speakers and authors.
ATPA's data processing and information management systems utilize large-scale mainframes, file servers, wide and local
area networks and stand-alone desktop applications. We successfully interface with and support plan service providers'
unique data processing requirements and all of our offices and systems are connected via the latest technology available.
As the industry leader in technology utilization, we strive to employ solutions that best serve
our client's needs.
Most importantly, we at ATPA thoroughly understand the various dynamics, which significantly impact employee benefit plans
and their administration.
